Article courtesy IndieWire: Before he was Loki, Tom Hiddleston was just another Brit actor trying to make it and early on he formed a bond with filmmaker Joanna Hogg. He appeared in her 2007 indie Unrelated and three years later starred in her sophomore feature Archipelago. And while the world is now an oyster for the actor, and he likely has many more offers on his desk than ever before, he’s reuniting with Hogg for her next film.
Hiddleston will feature alongside Viv Albertine — former guitarist for punk legends The Slits — and conceptual artist Liam Gillick in the currently untitled movie. And if you’re wondering what on Earth is bringing together a superhero villain, punk rocker and a Turner Prize nominee, your guess is as good as ours, as plot details are being kept on the down low. “I continue to be fascinated by the blurred line between the comic and the horrendous – but depicting this in an ordinary, everyday context which is closer to home, and therefore more terrifying,” is all Hogg would venture in a press release.
The plan is for the movie to shoot in London for six weeks this fall, after which we presume Hiddleston will put on the horns again for Thor: The Dark World.
